Indications

Lasège’s Differential is used to reproduce radicular symptoms and to distinguish this from hip pain and hip pathology.

Procedure

  1. Patient supine, examiner flexes patient’s hip to 90° with knee flexed.
  2. Examiner then extends patient’s knee on the leg demonstrating radicular symptom.

Interpretation

Pain with hip & knee flexed Hip joint pathology
Leg pain with leg straightening Radiculopathy
